Abstract
Viable spheroplasts of a marine dinoflagellate, Gonyaulax polyedra, have been prepared for the first time. This simple and rapid procedure results in a yield of over 95% intact spheroplasts. Utilizing this technique, many studies of the cell-wall-free form of this dinoflagellate are now possible. Keywords
