Abstract
During an investigation of euphausiids in some fjords in western Norway in 1966–1967 Thysanopoda acutifrons and Nematoscelis megalops, commonly regarded as Atlantic species, have been found rather frequently in the deeper layers, possibly having established more or less permanent populations there. Two other species, Euphausia krohnii and Stylocheiron maximum, were more scarce, but it is inferred that they also reproduce in Norwegian fjords, possibly together with Stylocheiron longicorne and Nematobrachion boopis, which have been found during previous investigations.
