Abstract
Poloidal rotation balance equation is obtained to have various bifurcation types of the solutions when various loss mechanisms arc considered in tokamak plasmas. L/H transition in medium sized devices is predicted to be hard type and that in large sized devices tends to become soft type. Ion loss due to bulk viscosity is found to be negligible compared to ion loss cone loss for the typical parameter regime of tokamaks. Keywords
