Abstract
Reactions between tertiary phosphine-, phosphite-, or arsine-platinum complexes and Fe2(CO)9 afford the cluster carbonyls Fe2Pt(CO)9L (I)(L = PPh3, PPh2Me, PPhMe2, or AsPh3) and Fe2Pt(CO)8L2(II)[L = PPh3, PPh2Me, PPhMe2, PMe2, PPh(OMe)2, or P(OPh)3; L2= diphos or diars]. I.r. and 1H n.m.r. spectra are discussed, and these enable possible structures to be proposed.Keywords
