Abstract
The inherent damping of vibrations in most tennis racket frames will only change their playing characteristics slightly. This is because the hand holding the racket damps out the oscillations in about 20 to 30 ms, which is much faster than the frame material itself, which damps the amplitude of the oscillation to half value in 180 to 750 ms, depending upon the racket. Keywords
