Enhancement by Various Cations of the Double-Diffusion Precipitin Test

Abstract
In double precipitin tests with tuberculoprotein as antigen and homologous guinea pig antiserum, cadmium ion was found to have an enhancing effect when mixed with the antigen. Of 21 cations surveyed, only 4 displayed this effect, namely Cd++> Ni++>La+++>Ce+++.
