Investigations on organic insecticides II. Preparation and acaricidal properties of substituted diphenylsulphones, diphenylsulphides and diphenylsulphoxides

Abstract
The preparation and acaricidal properties of a number of variously substituted diphenylsulphones, diphenylsulphides and diphenylsulphoxides are described. A few of them possess strong acaricidal properties. The most outsanding proved to be 2,4,5,4′‐tetrachlorodiphenylsulphone ‐ “Tedion V18” ‐ which combines high activity on all stages, except adult spider mites with total absence of phytocidal side‐effects and toxicity for warm‐blooded animals.
