Abstract
The discriminant function with the minimum misclassification of internal samples among the linear functions is named 'Optimal Linear Discriminant Function (O.L.D.F.)" and is investigated. A method using linear transformation of coordinate system is proposed as a means of obtaining the O.L.D.F. The consistency of the function is examined statistically. Keywords
