Abstract
The In1−xGaxSb alloy system has been studied by interband magneto-optics at 6 K and in fields of up to 7 T. The magneto-optical spectra were detected directly by using the photovoltaic effect at metal–alloy semiconductor Schottky barriers. A complete set of low temperature band parameters throughout the alloy range is thus obtained in a single set of experiments. All the band parameters exhibit a non-linear composition dependence, which is compared to the predictions of existing models of alloy semiconductors.
