Abstract
Hemodialysis clearance of i.v. cimetidine was determined in 3 patients with renal failure and ranged from 41.34-75.91 ml/min. Notwithstanding its substantial dialyzability, the amount of cimetidine removed by 4 h of hemodialysis constituted only 8-14% of the administered dose. Accordingly, major dose adjustment on the days of dialysis treatment, as suggested in the literature, may not be necessary. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
