Abstract
This IERI report is a four-part study on pupillary fluctuations as an index of discomfort glare. Light reduces the size of the pupil, but it is not size alone that generates discomfort. Rather, it is the fluctuation in size. Here, the authors present new studies of the role of the iris in generating what is known as discomfort glare. Keywords
