New Radioisotope of Platinum—Pt200

Abstract
A new radioisotope of platinum, Pt200, with an 11.5-hr half-life has been produced by successive neutron capture in Pt198. It was identified by milking its daughter, Au200. The activation cross section for the reaction Pt199(n, γ)Pt200 is approximately 15 barns.
