Abstract
Presentation of CaseA thirty-three-year-old housewife entered the hospital because of pruritus.One year previously she began to experience generalized itching that was unassociated with skin lesions or with any known environmental or emotional factors. The pruritus was generalized from the onset and initially was intermittent, with complete remissions for as long as three weeks. Subsequently, it became constant, was more severe at night, often interfering with sleep, and was aggravated by warmth or by contact with clothing.
