Abstract
Case records of 20 children with Schönlein-Henoch syndrome are reviewed. The clinical manifestations are similar to those described in previous reports except for a 38% incidence of testicular involvement in males. In several cases a long duration of abdominal pain and joint involvement was noted prior to the onset of rash. We believe that this syndrome should be considered in the differential diagnosis of children with abdominal pain, edema, or hematuria prior to the onset of rash. Occasionally the disease may occur sine eruption. Keywords
