Abstract
Subcut. injn. of saline suspensions of bull and human spermatozoa as well as ether extracts of the HCl-hydrolyzed cells, dissolved in oil, into immature male and female rats and adult spayed rats caused enlargement of the uterus with ovarian hyperemia and increase in the prostatic alkaline phosphatase. The steroids that are probably responsible for hormonal activity of spermatozoa are thought to be present in a conjugated form. Keywords
