Abstract
Two patients with the syndrome of alopecia universalis, onychodystrophy, and apparent total vitiligo are reported. Extensive investigations including endocrinologic evaluation and viral cultures failed to reveal a systemic abnormality or evidence of an etiologic agent. These three entities are discussed and their etiological interrelationships considered. Keywords
