A malignant carcinoid tumour of the supraglottic larynx

Abstract
A rare case of carcinoid tumor of the laryngeal surface of the epiglottis in a 49-yr-old woman is presented. This is the 4th report of this tumor in the world literature. The clinical features and the light microscopical and EM appearances are discussed. The literature and the relationship to other carcinoid tumors is reviewed. Based on this and previously reported cases, recommendations are made as to management.
