Abstract
Twenty-seven strains similar to an organism discovered by McBryde (1911) were isolated and described according to the Chart of the Society of American Bacteriologists. The organism is a proteolytic anaerobe with round terminal spores. Its optimum temp. is 20-25[degree]C, with limits at 35[degree]C. and below 0[degree]. Although found in muscle tissue of hogs at slaughter, it is apparently non-pathogenic.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
