Abstract
The use of X-ray film in the diagnostic imaging process is changing rapidly. As electronic archiving and retrieval systems evolve, there will still be demand for photographic hard copy. Consequently, X-ray films are being modified for use as the photographic medium in CRT-to-film recorders. The critical performance criteria of a film recorder are given and the components of the system that are most crucial to performance are discussed. Keywords
