Abstract
1. In a survey of Liberia the prevalence of microfilariae in blood smears made at night was 4.3 per cent. for all ages, and for adults only, 6.0 per cent. 2. Wuchereria bancrofti was the only filariid species identified. Infections were found in every general area, and in all except four villages, where examinations were made. The heaviest foci appear to be on the coast. 3. Only five slides, 0.05 per cent. of the 10,128 examined, showed trypanosomes.
