Abstract
Determination by gas-liquid chromatography of free amino acids in fluids of female Argas (Persicargas) arboreus Kaiser, Hoogstraal & Kohls showed that glutamic acid predominated in hemolymph (46.3%) and phenylalanine in coxal fluid (60.5%). Glutamic acid and valine were both relatively high in gut fluid. Amino acid patterns in these fluids and in host (pigeon) serum were dissimilar. Keywords
