Abstract
Placental transfer of dfeldrin was shown in each of 33 diary calves born to dams contaminated during gestation. Neither stage of gestation during which contamination occurred nor dieldrin concentration in body fat of contaminated dams appeared to affect residue levels found in calves at birth. Approximately 0.9% of dieldrin ingested by dams was recovered in calves. Residue in calves contaminated in utero decreased with age and was not detectable in 4 of 5 calves at 1 year. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
