Abstract
During flights within 3-4 hours of sunrise or sunset, higher densities of grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus) were observed near sunrise and sunset than further into the day. An exponential decline as time progressed into the day accounted for most of the nonrandom variation in observed densities. The rate depended on the habitat. At sunrise or sunset 19.0, 4.8, 1.9, and 1.9 times more kangaroos were sighted in cleared land, open woodland, woodland, and forest, respectively, than at 3 hours earlier or later in the day. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
