Abstract
Pair production in high-energy electron-electron collisions is studied with special attention given to pion pair production. A method of calculation is formulated which yields results with reasonable directness in the relativistic limit. The orders of magnitude of counting rates for various experimental settings are ascertained. A complete result is obtained for the case in which two pions emerge with equal energies and opposite momenta. Keywords
