Abstract
This article describes the use of semantic differential scaling to profile the ‘ideal’ location favoured by an office space seeker along certain key criteria. This profile is matched with similar profiles of buildings held on a computer database. The ‘matchmaking’ process is carried out through a straightforward visual comparison of the ‘best fit’ locations allowing the client (the office seeker) to chose his/her favoured building. This offers an effective approach to the location question that does not over complicate the issue, neither does it over simplify what is an important strategic decision. Keywords
