Abstract
The preparation of molybdenum carbide coating was carried out by electrochemical deposition from a molten salt bath containing FLINAK and sodium carbonate with additions of potassium molybdate. For current densities in the range of 60ndash;150 mA/cm2 the coating morphology is determined principally by the deposition temperature (800°ndash;900°C). The thickness over an irregular substrate profile was uniform and the coating obtained was dense and pore free. Keywords
