Abstract
We study in detail the recently observed phenomenon of growth oscillations in a simple stochastic model of kinetic growth. By averaging over an ensemble of moderate-sized clusters, we find that the oscillations give rise to a very rich multiperiodic structure in various physical quantities. Of particular interest is the density and growth velocity of the cluster. We also present arguments elucidating the physical origin and generality of growth oscillations. Finally, we briefly discuss the conditions under which one may expect to observe growth oscillations in single large clusters. Keywords
