Alpha pickup to low-lying levels ofCa42,44

Abstract
The Ti46,48(d, Li6)Ca42,44 reactions to low-lying states have been studied at a bombarding energy of 28 MeV. Relative to the ground states, spectroscopic factors for the first excited 0+ and 2+ states are about 0.2. These results, and other work, indicate the need for components involving both 2 and 4 sd-shell holes for these nuclei.
