Spin-Lattice Relaxation Anisotropy for a Dynamic Jahn-Teller System

Abstract
We report a large angular variation in the Orbach relaxation rate for in methylammonium alum. This anisotropy is due to the dynamic Jahn-Teller effect, which modifies the spin-phonon interaction by the Ham vibronic reduction factor.
