Abstract
Mixed dairy pasture harvested at three stages of growth from the same area was ensiled using three degrees of consolidation in small experimental silos. Better fermentation characteristics, lower dry matter losses, and higher digestibilities were associated with heavier consolidations and with less mature pasture. Keywords
