Abstract
Insulin secretion by a normally innervated, vascularly isolated, in situ rat pancreas preparation is modulated by electrical stimulation of the hypothalamus. The evidence presented herein strongly suggests that there are both excitatory and inhibitory centers within the hypothalamus which are capable of directly modifying insulin secretion. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
