Innovations in Managing Alzheimer's Disease

Abstract
This chapter reviews interventions for managing Alzheimer's disease (AD). It begins with an overview of AD, including its stages and risk factors. It then discusses innovative interventions including spaced-retrieval focused on individuals with AD; question-asking reading, an intervention for small groups of persons with AD; and an Intergenerational Montessori-based program for dyads of persons with AD and preschool children.Keywords
