Abstract
The hemodynamic changes following the administration of O2 to patients with acute myocardial infarction have been studied. Measurements of cardiac output ard brachial arterial pressure were made. Breathing 40% O2 usually results in a rise of systemic blood pressure and a fall in cardiac output. The possible mechanisms and clinical implications are discussed. Keywords
