Abstract
A humoral factor was described which appears in the blood of the dog during stimulation of the central ends of the cut vagus nerves. Biologically active substances were compared with the properties of this factor, using Sephadex G-15 column chromatography and subsequent bioassay. Besides histamine, an active fraction was observed which appeared just before that of bradykinin. The latter fraction appears to contain "Brain Factor".Keywords
