Protection of Steelhead Trout (Salmo gairdneri) Against Vibriosis with a Living Low-Virulence Strain of Vibrio anguillarum

Abstract
Exposure to a living low-virulence strain of V. anguillarum protected steelhead trout (S. gairdneri) against a subsequent challenge of highly virulent V. anguillarum. The fish were effectively protected by means of a single i.p. injection or by multiple oral vaccinations of this live vaccine.
