The ageing body and the homespace

Abstract
SummaryIn this paper, findings are presented from a qualitative study of older people's lives in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, to examine the place of the body in everyday meanings and constructions of ageing. Focusing on the home, we show how notions about gendered as well as ageing bodies affect the use and meaning of space.
