Abstract
A ferrite film circulator is demonstrated for use in microwave integrated circuits. An analysis describes the performance of the circulator as a function of the film thickness. Specifically, it is found that the maximum possible bandwidth is proportional to the ratio of film thickness to overall thickness. Thus, a minimum film thickness is required to provide the bandwidth necessary for the device to be useful. Practical limits on impedances realizable with microstrip put another lower limit on thickness. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
