Abstract
The equivalent circuit used for most single-phase motors with two windings is expanded to include motors having higher harmonics in the magnetic field, produced by concentric stator windings concentrated into stator slots. The mutual fields are described in equation form; how they occur in a single-phase induction motor is explained by a graphical interpretation. Keywords
