Abstract
✓ A fatal rupture of a large paraophthalmic aneurysm 11 months following treatment with detachable balloons is described. This case illustrates the potential consequences of incomplete aneurysm obliteration with endovascular techniques and emphasizes the need for adequate posttreatment evaluation when this method is used for aneurysm therapy. Keywords
