Distribution of Cholecystokinin Activity in the Rat Small Intestine

Abstract
An in vitro rabbit gallbladder assay was used to demonstrate that almost 80% of the CCK [cholecystokinin] activity in the rat gut was found in the proximal third of the small intestine. Previous studies showed that pancreatic enzyme secretion was controled from this area of the intestine.
