Abstract
The fourth-order quark-quark and quark-antiquark potentials in perturbative quantum chromodynamics are derived with special emphasis on a rigorous investigation of the spin-dependent interaction terms. We consider quarks and antiquarks of equal as well as unequal masses. We also obtain the quark-antiquark annihilation potential to the fourth order. Keywords
