Abstract
The age-specific incidence of Hodgkin disease in Connecticut from 1935 to 1962 was analyzed and only the 1,093 cases with histological proof of diagnosis were included. The characteristic bimodal age distribution in incidence of Hodgkin disease reported by others was evident in males but not in females. Survival was studied in a large group of untreated patients. Any explanation of the bimodal age distribution of Hodgkin disease should take into account variations in host immunity, as well as considerations of different causative agents. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
