Abstract
Of 1,121 hospitalized recipients of trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, 91 (8%) experienced reactions that were attributed to this drug. The most common adverse effects were gastrointestinal upset (3.9%) and skin reactions (3.3%). Serious toxicity attributable to the drug was rare.Keywords
