Abstract
Relative oscillator strengths of soo lines of Ti I and Ti II have been measured from spectra of a vortex-stabilized arc running in titanium tetrachloride at 10 080 °K. Comparison is made between the present measurements and those of other workers; these data are summarized on a scale which is approximately absolute. It is shown in the case of titanium that the excitation potential effect discovered by Allen and Asaad is merely a selection effect. Keywords
