Abstract
The MEF1 strain of rodent-adapted poliomyelitis can be substituted for the Lansing in mice in neutralization tests, e.g., for epidemiologi-cal studies. The results of the tests here reported support prior findings that poliomyelitis virus is widespread[long dash]if the neutralizing antibody as tested for is regarded as a specific response to viral infection[long dash]even in the tropics where epidemics are not so commonly reported as in the temperate zone. Keywords
