Abstract
The general features of the configuration and operating principle of a new framing image tube which has been designed to give picosecond resolution are described. Theoretically predicted performance characteristics are presented which indicate that a temporal resolution ~100 ps and a spatial resolution %10 1p/mm should be attainable in a multiple-framing mode of operation.Keywords
