Abstract
The end product of the fixation of Cl4GO2 by T. vaginalis was characterized by chromatography and by its infrared spectrum as lactic acid. The Cl4 occurred only in the carboxyl group of lactic acid. Extracts of the organism contained glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and phos-phoriboisomerase, but no carboxylase. Keywords
