Abstract
The seasonal succession of phytoplankton in twelve Shropshire meres and pools is presented, together with notes on isolated collections from eight others in the region. In the majority of the waters investigated, the annual periodicity conforms to a typical pattern. Departures from this established pattern are discussed in relation to differences in physico-chemical conditions of the water-bodies.Keywords
