Abstract
Photostimulated electron injection from an ethanol or water electrode into single crystals of tetrahalo‐substituted p‐benzoquinones was observed. The electron transfer processes involve the excited quinone molecules. By the addition of appropriate electron donor molecules such as p‐phenylenediamine to the electrode, electron injection in the dark could be observed. Excited chlorophyll molecules also caused electron injection to be enhanced. Keywords
