Abstract
To the Editor: Cyclosporine has been used with success in some cytopenias of supposed or proved autoimmune origin: severe aplastic anemia,1 pure red-cell aplasia,2 autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura,3 and amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenic purpura.4 We report here the effect of this immunosuppressor on the neutropenia of Felty's syndrome, which is in some cases an autoimmune disorder.5 , 6 Rheumatoid arthritis was diagnosed in our patient in June 1980 because of severe polyarthralgia. At first, the patient was treated with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs. In May 1982, profound neutropenia developed without splenomegaly, and Felty's syndrome was diagnosed. Lithium therapy was unsuccessful. Corticosteroid therapy, 2 mg per kilogram . . .Keywords
